Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated: 13 August 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Çağrı Uzun (“we”, “us”) for the use of the mobile application JapanWords: Japanese Flashcards (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. The App
The App helps you learn Japanese vocabulary using flashcards, spaced repetition, and quizzes. Content is provided for educational purposes and may be updated over time.
3. Ads and subscriptions
- The App is free and supported by ads (Google AdMob).
- You may purchase an optional auto-renewable subscription (“Remove Ads”) to hide ads. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase (e.g., $19.99 per year, or the equivalent in your local currency).
Auto-renewable subscription terms
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4. Restore purchases
If you reinstall the App or use a new device with the same Apple Account, you can restore your subscription using the “Restore Purchases” option.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, copy, resell, or misuse the App, and not to use it in any unlawful way.
6. Intellectual property
The App, its design, and its content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.
7. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that the learning content is complete or suitable for any particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
